Plot Summary

Brother and sister, Carter and Sadie Kane, live two different lives. Sadie is a typical 12 years old girl with a punk- British twist and she's been living with her grandparents in London since she was 6. Carter on the other hand travels the world with their  father, Julius Kane an Egyptologist, and they only get to visit with Sadie twice a year because of the custody agreement after Carter and Sadie's mother death. Their adventure begins with one of these visits, on that day they went from being normal (sort of) to kids that have to stop a god, save their father, and escape the House of Life mysterious group, all while having a god inside them and fleeing for their lives. Carter and Sadie thought that they were just going to the museum so their father can look at an artifact but inside their father had a secret agenda. Julius tries to release Osiris but instead five gods were released, including Set whom plans on creating destruction. It was during the release that Sadie and Carter got gods inside them, Sadie and Carter didn't even know it happened but next thing they knew they were dragged into a world of magic and danger. They subconsciously know how to fight a little and they have some newly found magic so they have some protection against the many enemies including mythical creatures, like serpopards (serpent leopards) and Set's minions. Carter and Sadie, together, must stop Set before its to late but during the journey enemies continue to get in the way and they find out secrets about their family which changes things greatly. When they finally get to battling Set, Carter and Sadie overpower Set, only to find out he wasn't truly completely evil it was his minion, Face of Horror, which was under control by an more dangerous enemy. In the end, they stopped chaos for now but they won some and and loss some. They don't get to be with their father and danger still lurks about but Carter and Sadie are going to gather magicians and train them for future need for help against the gods. It is too late now to go back to their sort of normal lives but Carter and Sadie Kane don't care, it was too boring for them. :)
